Garden Match

Garden Match is a match 3 game. I know that's probably a given since it's literally called Match, but I thought we should be clear about what we're getting into because if you know what a match 3 game is like, you've pretty much figured out Garden Match. The primary mechanics outside of match 3 are creating dragonflies and flowers, which clear lines of the board and entire flower types respectively. Now that we've talked about the game, about the rest of it.

Garden Match's aesthetics are pretty darn chill to puzzle to, given the whole garden motif and some kind of music I'm not sure how to best describe. The infinite mode is completely no-risk, and is very nice to zone out and clear some lines, make some butterflies, and generally waste some time.

The non-chill parts are some UI annoyances and, amazingly, the "main" mission/puzzle mode. This game, again, requires click-and-drag, and doesn't have any real elements to point out what you're currently click-dragging or two where: you just kinda click and drag the static game board and see if it acknowledges. Some more responsiveness would have helped here. As for the mission mode, well... I never got past the first one, it was so difficult.

Failing at puzzlers yet again. Why does this always happen to me.

I wouldn't have went out of my way to buy it, but as part of the bundle? Yeah, Garden Match seems okay. I need things to lower my stress right now, and easygoing match three seemed to do the trick... as long as I stuck to the infinite mode.

I enjoyed it. Garden Match is a good game.
